Description:

Gemini Valve offers Association of American Railroads (AAR) approved liquid and vapor valves for tank car service. Our Raymond, New Hampshire manufacturing facility is registered with the AAR and is compliance with 49 CFR 179.7 and Section B3.04 of M-1002.

Gemini 76 Series and 86 Series AAR ball valves are manufactured in the United States from superior quality carbon and stainless steel barstock for exceptional durability under the toughest service environments.

At Gemini Valve we pay attention to many important details often overlooked by mass produced commodity valves. For example, each valve is bubble tested to ensure leak-tight performance. Our threads meet or exceed ANSI B1.20.1 L1 and L3 gauging requirements to help facilitate a positive pipe joint seal even if the mating thread is not exactly to specification. We also utilize Flex-Locā locking stem nuts to ensure the handle remains firmly affixed to the valve. The reusable, all metal nuts prevent stem leaks from developing due to excessive vibration or repeated cycling.

The 76 Series is a reduced port, one-piece body design offered in pipe sizes of ½" to 2". This series is our most commonly used valve for tank car applications and is ideal where compact size and a single piece body are of importance. The 86 Series is our two-piece, standard port design available in pipe sizes of ¼" through 2" and is generally used where flow requirements are more critical.
