The Gemini Model 309 is a 90° (quarter-turn) 3-port ball valve designed to maintain bubble-tight performance throughout its pressure-temperature range when used as a diverter or as a selector valve. Diverter service directs a fluid from a common port to either of two discharge ports. Selector service provides a common output port for two distinct input ports. It should be noted that two of the three ports are either fully or partially open as the valve is rotated and, therefore, has no fully 'closed' (zero flow) position.

The Gemini 309 utilizes a unique 'floating' seat backed a Viton® seal which enables the seat to seek the optimum sealing position with relation to the multi-ported ball. The two part design provides compensation for ball seat wear and assures low, consistent operating torque to further extend service life.
In addition to its unique 3-port features, the Model 309 incorporates the premium features found in Gemini 2-way valves such as metal-to-metal body joints, precision machined components and self-compensating stem seal design.
The Model 309 is produced in carbon steel and CF8M (316) stainless steel in 1/2" and 3/4" s female NPT or BSPT pipe threads. The valve can be operated with manual handle or can be configured with any of our standard barstock valve electric or pneumatic actuators.
