Latching-Lockable Handle

Positive spring loaded latching mechanism prevents accidental opening or closing of the valve in any orientation.
Any padlock with a hasp up to 5/16" in diameter enables lock-out of the valve in either the open or closed position.
A tamper resistant nut guard prevents removal of the handle when the valve is locked-out so that safety cannot be compromised.
Handle may be field retrofitted on all Gemini 76, 86, and 96 series valves.
The Gemini Latching-Lockable handle for 76, 86 & 96 Series ball valves provides a lever handle that prevents accidental opening or closing. A simple but positive thumb motion is required to pull the spring loaded slider back until it clears the latch stop mounted on the valve before the handle can be turned to either the fully opened or fully closed position. An arrow with the word unlatch is clearly stamped on both sides of the latching slider to guide the operator.
A hole in the latching slider also makes it possible to lock the handle in either position with any locking device such as a padlock. A hasp diameter of up to 5/16" may be used to prevent the valve from operating.
Tamper or removing the handle is further discouraged by means of a metal nut guard that blocks any tool access to the nut. The nut guard cannot be removed when the valve has been locked out. When the valve is unlocked, the nut guard will swing out of the way so that nut may be accessed and the handle removed.
The Latching-Lockable handle easily mounts to all sizes of Gemini Valve 76, 86 and 96 Series valves. It may be purchased mounted to the valve or as a field retrofit kit.
